Our hostel is a bit hidden in the small alleys of Kuta, with a walking distance to the Kuta central and beach. Here’s some tips and pointers to get to our cozy and quite hostel………
Whatever transportation mode you are using please look at the pictures below to guide you (or the drivers) to get to our hostel
Jalan Sadasari Gang Kelapa No.11

Google map location: Bread & Jam Hostel
GPS Coordinate: 8°43’56.6″S 115°10’23.9″E
Public transportation in Bali is very limited. If you already in Bali and don’t have any transportation (motor bike or car rental), you will need to take a taxi to the hostel. The best and safest taxi company is Bali Taxi by Bluebird. The taxi color is light blue with a sticker on the front of the car saying “Bluebird Group” and a phone number written on the back “701111”. Always check the meter when you are getting into the taxi.
There are also several taxi apps available in Bali such as Uber and GrabTaxi, they are cheaper than regular taxis. Please note that Uber only operates in south Bali. For solo traveler you can also use motorbike taxi app called Gojek. These applications are available in Google Play and App Store. Please noted that for using this application you will need internet data, and these kind of public transportation has been rejected by the locals in many places in Bali.
Instructions for your taxi driver:
Masuk Jalan Kubu Anyar dari arah Airport. Setelah Hotel Best Western Resort Kuta masuk jalan kecil Jalan Sadasari di sisi kanan. Masuk Gang pertama sebelah kanan, Gang Kelapa. Ada tanda panah hostel.
If you are coming from the airport here are some alternatives how to get to our hostel.
- Airport Pick up
We can help to arrange an airport pick up with an extra cost of Rp 125,000 (Maximum of 4 people), and for late hours pick up (after 10pm) is Rp 150,000. The driver will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall holding your name tag. You can pay the airport pick up upon check in. Please give us advance notice at least 3 days before your arrival date and with your flight details by email.
- Airport taxi
The taxi service out of the airport is monopolized by Airport Taxi. The drivers wear uniform shirt, they often look for their own customers (at inflated rates) rather than take customers from the taxi counter (at the official rates). There are also many drivers offering transport (not meter taxi), you would need to bargain with them for the price.
For the Official Airport Taxi, go to the taxi counter and give our address. Remember to pay at the taxi counter not the driver. They have fixed rate and it will cost you Rp 100,000,- to our hostel. If you are coming from the domestic terminal, the taxi counter is on the right side after the terminal exit hall. If you are coming from the international terminal, turn left after exiting the arrival hall, next to the duty free shop. It is possible that rates go up in peak hours, late night or early morning.
There are small companies offering private transfer from the airport but the counters are only available at the Domestic terminal. These yellow (Lohjinawi) , blue (Pesona Nusantara) and red (Trans Tuban) car companies have a desk right next to each other. Ask for a price at each counter and go with the best deal.
- Uber and Grab Taxi
You can book a taxi through Uber or Grab Taxi app. You will need to have their application installed on your smartphone and internet data connection. Most of the drivers would canceled the order if they cannot reached or call you, as it’s considered illegal for them to pick up guests at the airport.
Walking can be an option. The distance from the airport to the Bread & Jam Hostel is around 2 km (20-30 minutes on foot). You will need to get out from the airport terminal and find a walking path on the north side of the airport. The easiest way to find the airport exit (for pedestrian) is through the international arrival hall. First you will need to walk through the car park building just in front of the international terminal building and cross the road then exit the fences. Please see the map and photos below for directions.
